THZ and HHZ sound similar, sit side by side in the I Love Pot range and are therefore often confused. In fact they are two separate substances with their own origin and their own product formats. Here you can see the differences at a glance: what is behind the names, which formats exist and what to look for when you compare them.
Key facts in brief
- THZ is a trade name for a cannabinoid made in the lab. There is no official meaning of the three letters.
- HHZ is a separate cannabinoid with its own chemical profile and is not the same as HHC.
- We offer both as a vape with 95 % cannabinoid content and as a pre-roll with a 40 % blend.
- HHZ is also available as flowers, premium flowers, hash and as a 2 ml vape.
- The strain names on both lines describe the terpene profile and the taste, not the origin of the cannabinoid.
What is THZ
THZ is the market name for a cannabinoid that is made in several chemical steps in the lab and is not obtained directly from industrial hemp. No binding chemical name has been established so far. As long as no manufacturer discloses the full chemical name including the CAS number, THZ remains a product name. You can read more about how it is made in our article THZ cannabinoid: origin, production and legal status.
What is HHZ
HHZ is a cannabinoid with its own chemical profile. In vapes it is used as a distillate and combined with terpenes, in flowers and pre-rolls it is applied to hemp flowers as a blend. HHZ is not the same as HHC, which I Love Pot has not carried since June 2024. Our guide What is HHZ? explains the basics.

The vapes compared
The THZ vapes and the HHZ vapes are both disposable pens with 95 % cannabinoid content and 5 % flavour or terpenes. The main difference is the strains: the THZ line focuses on dessert and fruit profiles such as Abu Dhabi Chocolate or Lemon Cherry Cookies, the HHZ line on classics such as Amnesia and Northern Lights. HHZ is also available as a 2 ml pen for up to 1,200 puffs, while the 1 ml pen manages up to 600 puffs.
The pre-rolls compared
Both pre-roll lines come ready-rolled and contain a 40 % blend. The strains overlap, for example Super Lemon Haze, Gorilla Glue and Northern Lights. Whether you choose THZ pre-rolls or HHZ pre-rolls is therefore decided more by the cannabinoid than by the aroma.
How to recognise reliable information
Whether THZ or HHZ: pay less attention to the letters and more to the product details.
- Percentages: specific values instead of terms like “highly concentrated”.
- Certificate of analysis: a lab report with date and lab shows what is really inside.
- Legal information with a date: statements on the legal situation should name the law and the date, because they change regularly.
- Sales only to adults: a shop without an age limit is a warning sign.
Frequently asked questions
Is THZ the same as HHZ?
No. THZ is a trade name for a lab-made cannabinoid, HHZ is a separate cannabinoid with its own profile. At our shop they are two separate product lines.
Is THZ also available as flowers?
Not at the moment. We carry THZ as a vape and as a pre-roll, and HHZ also as flowers and hash.
Why do both lines have strain names like Northern Lights?
The strain names describe the terpene profile and therefore the taste. They have nothing to do with the origin of the cannabinoid.
From what age can I order?
We supply THZ and HHZ products only to people aged 18 and over.
Note: our THZ and HHZ products are aroma products and not intended for consumption. Sold only to people aged 18 and over.
