What is HHZ?

Was ist HHZ?

HHC has been banned since mid-2024. The market has reshuffled – and HHZ has established itself as one of the strongest successors. Anyone who recently relied on HHC-Vapes or HHC-Flowers is now asking: What exactly is behind HHZ, what are its effects, and can you trust this substance?

We'll break it down for you – from the beginning, no prior knowledge needed.

What exactly is HHZ?

HHZ stands for Hexahydrocannabizinol. The starting material is hemp – natural hemp components are further processed chemically in the lab. Through a process called hydrogenation, hydrogen atoms are added to the molecular structure. The result is a new, more stable molecule.

What does this stability actually mean? HHZ is less sensitive to light than many classic cannabinoids, has a longer shelf life, and offers more consistent quality from batch to batch. For a market where quality was long a wild mess, that's a pretty important point.

Like All cannabinoids, HHZ interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system – a network of receptors that, among other things, influences mood, perception, and relaxation. Whether and how you feel it depends on your tolerance, the amount, and the product.

HHZ vs. HHC – what's the difference?

Both are hydrogenated cannabinoids, both are created by adding hydrogen atoms to natural Cannabinoid molecules. Still, they're chemically distinct substances – with different molecular structures, different effect profiles, and above all, completely different legal classifications.

More about the HHC ban and what happened back then: HHC ban in Germany – what's behind it?

HHZ effects – what does the community say?

We don't make concrete promises about effects – that's not allowed legally, and honestly, it wouldn't be right, since every body reacts differently. But what keeps coming up in the community is clear: The HHZ effect is described as relaxing, body-focused, and mood-lifting.

Many find HHZ pleasantly calming, without the heady feeling some know from other cannabinoids. Those who used HHC before often describe the switch as smooth – similar character, its own nuances, but clearly from the same product family.

What influences the HHZ effect: Tolerance, amount, consumption method, and the setting all play a role, just like with All. A 95% HHZ vape is a different experience than a flower with lower active content. If you're new – start small. That's not a cliché, it's the most important tip we can give you.

Buying HHZ – what forms are available?

The range has developed rapidly in a short time. HHZ Vapes are by far the most popular form – disposable pens, ready to use, consistent draw, discreet for everyday life. Our pens come with up to 95% HHZ blend, combined with natural terpenes in varieties like Amnesia, Blueberry, Mango, Northern Lights, and Pink Berry.

If you prefer the classic experience, go for the HHZ Flowers – different genetics, each with its own aroma profile. More concentrated and distinctive: HHZ Hash in varieties like Nepal Cream or Super Pollen. And for All who don't want to prepare anything: our ready-to-enjoy HHZ Prerolls are good to go right away.

Is the HHZ effect different with Vapes than with Flowers?

In short: yes, noticeably. Vapes deliver HHZ directly through the lungs – the effect kicks in quickly, usually within minutes. That makes them easy to dose, especially if you haven't tried this substance before.

Flowers and Hash are usually vaporized or smoked. The effect sets in a bit more slowly depending on the method, but for many it feels more natural and complete – because along with HHZ, you also get the Terpene and the rest of the plant profile.

Prerolls are in between: pre-rolled, nothing to prepare, similar experience to Flowers.

What should you watch out for when buying HHZ?

The market for novel cannabinoids has grown quickly – and with it, many providers who put quality last. What makes a reputable shop: independent lab analyses for every batch, transparent info about ingredients and purity, and discreet shipping with tracking.

At I LOVE POT, that's not just a promise on the homepage, it's standard. Since 2022, from Berlin. You can find our entire HHZ range here.

Is HHZ legal?

FAQs

What is HHZ?

HHZ is a psychoactive Cannabinoid. It can affect your perception and mood. How strong that is depends on the amount, your tolerance, and how you consume it. Don’t drive any vehicle after consuming it.

That varies depending on how you consume it. With Vapes, the effect kicks in quickly and wears off after 1–3 hours. With Flowers and Hash a bit more slowly, but it often lasts longer.

Basically yes – many of our Vapes are already formulated as Superior Blend, meaning a combination of several cannabinoids. With unknown combinations, you’d better start cautiously.

All Products are only for people aged 18 and over.

Cool, dark, and dry – away from direct sunlight and heat. This is especially true for Flowers and Hash, since HHZ is more stable than many other cannabinoids, but still loses quality if you store it wrong.
